The problem with "what does the law say"
Romanian legislation changes often, and a web search usually returns a blog post from 2021 describing a version that no longer exists. Consolidated text is hard to find, and the version in force on a past date — exactly what you need when checking an old transaction — is harder still.
What you get
Ask the question normally: which VAT rate applies to accommodation in 2024, when a fiscal till becomes mandatory, what the deadline is for registering an employment contract. The answer cites the specific article, quotes it, and links to the full text.
If the question touches a rule that has changed, you are shown when the quoted version took effect and what preceded it. The date matters: reviewing a 2023 invoice, the 2023 rule is the relevant one, not today's.

Acts are kept with every amendment applied and the history preserved. Read today's version or the version as at any earlier date, without reconstructing it by hand from a dozen amending acts.
