A quote request goes to three providers, never to the whole directory
The usual marketplace pattern is to broadcast a lead to everyone and let them race for it. Providers learn quickly that most leads are shared and stop answering them; the buyer gets a dozen half-hearted replies or none. Here a request reaches at most three verified providers you pick, so every lead is worth a real answer. Nobody is auto-assigned: you read the offers, ask questions in the thread, and choose.
Ranked by facts, with the formula published
The order in the directory is computed from responsiveness, verified reviews and proximity to your locality, with a published weighting and two exploration slots so a new provider is not buried forever under the incumbents. No provider can pay to move up. Distance is computed from public administrative centroids, so no address leaves the platform and no external map service ever sees the request.
Regulated professions are listed the way their statutes allow
A lawyer appears and can be contacted, but carries no rating, no score, no "price from" and no commission of any kind — the profession's own rules say so, and the restriction is enforced per category in code, not by policy text. Notaries are excluded from the commercial directory entirely, because their code of conduct forbids individual advertising; they remain in an unsorted, unrated informational index. For accountants, a referral fee is permitted only when disclosed to the client, so the platform default is simply zero.
Reviews you can tell apart from noise
Only a client who actually had a relationship with the provider through Brivio can leave a review, and each rating states how it was verified. A provider who believes a listing or a review is unfair has a notice-and-action form and receives a reasoned decision, not silence.
The relationship outlives the quote
When you choose a provider the work does not move to email. The conversation, the offer that became the engagement, shared documents and — for accountants — scoped access to your registers all live in one place, and that access is revocable by you. A founder who does not have a company yet can already ask for help incorporating one, and the winning agent joins the formation case with a redacted view of the founders' identity data.
What is worth knowing
Most "find a provider" products make money on the lead, which is why they optimise for volume of contact rather than quality of match. This one does not: zero commission is public, the ranking is explainable, and the paid tiers are on the provider's own tooling, never on your introduction.
